Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Overview: Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia (Malaya) and better know as 'KL'. It sits on the western coast of the Malaysian Peninsular about 150 km north of the old capital Malacca. Towering office blocks dominate the skyline of the city, with vast markets and shopping centres surrounding it. A multi-ethnic society made up mainly of Malays, Chinese and Indians. Population 1.3 million.
History:
Kuala Lumpur was created in the middle of the 19th century when tin prospectors settled at the convergence of the Klang and Gombak river.

Bird Island is a stunning urban renewal project that is currently being developed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Designed by Graft Lab architects for the YTL Green Home Competition, the project comprises a zero energy home made of sustainably-sourced silicone glass fabric. Its lightness and flexibility will allow it to sway organically with the breeze just like a treetop, and slots in the fabric will give visitors a unique peek into the sky as the wind ebbs and flows.

Kuala Lumpur (KL) is the capital of Malaysia, which in the local language (Malay) means"muddy estuary". In almost 150 years KL has grown from a small village to a developed metropolis & definitely a desired place to travel. It is the most preferred travel destination because of the cheapest 5 star hotels, great shopping atmosphere & fantastic cuisines offered.
